Painting method: The bust is painted predominately with W&N artist oils over Humbrol enamels. The exception is the flesh. In this case it was oils over Liquitex acrylic.
The armour was an experiment and the outcome wasn't entirely what I had intended. I undercoated with GZ Dark Iron. After buffing the areas, I brushed on a base of Lamp Black, Raw Sienna and Burnt Umber. I then removed as much of the mix as possible, especially along the raised edges. Shading was done with Lamp Black and highlights with Yellow Ochre. Extreme highlights were treated with two tones of Printer's Silver Ink and Lamp Black.
